In a program spanning several years, Principelle and manufacturing partner Lamers Medical Products, with the technical expertise, knowledge and experience provided by Hydrogel Healthcare, have established a state-of-art production facility for the manufacturing of sheet hydrogels, offering hydrogel rolls for numerous applications. The hydrogel rolls can be used for manufacturing a variety of biomedical electrodes such as ECG, AED and TENS, as well as for wearable devices, skin adhesives and cosmetic face masks. With the renowned polymer specialist Dr Yasin from Hydrogel Healthcare being responsible for the technical development of the hydrogels, our future leads to being able to provide a range of products, including those containing bioactive components. We are able to offer bespoke products, formulated to meet the requirements of customers. As a dedicated wound care company we continue to strive for the re-introduction of Principelle Matrix hydrogel dressings in our product portfolio. However, given the current regulatory changes and issues in Europe this process is taking more time than developing the production method of Principelle Matrix.

Medica is a must, a meet and greet, a global presence, a Team outing, an enjoyable week in Germany away from the desks! From a modest start in 2003 our wound care products have been present at Medica every year. It is a great place to meet colleagues and friends, clinicians, technical developers, and just anybody or any Company connected to Health Care. Medica is the World’s largest single event where the medical community meets during exhibition, congress, and related events. The scope is impressive: congresses ranging from Disaster and Military Medicine, Hospital and Politics, Sports Sciences and Medicine, and every bit and piece of E-Health, equipment, disposable, instrument, and wearable technology is on display. Should you need a new hospital or an architectural firm to design it, Medica has it. Should you need advanced bio-active wound care products, we have it. As every year, we look forward to welcoming you in Hall 5, E19.  

One of our most active colleagues is Dr. Ismail Alkhowlani in Yemen. Despite the very difficult circumstances in the country with war, famine, destruction, and other adverse conditions preventing normal functioning, the good spirit and enthusiasm of our colleague in Yemen is admirable! Dr. Ismail has been visiting hospitals and clinics and held seminars to create awareness for Principelle advanced wound care products. Treating so many patients resulted in a portfolio of cases that are clinically very interesting and have been successful from a therapeutic viewpoint. The etiology and conditions are such, that expressions like therapy resistant wounds, hard to heal wounds, chronic wounds, and challenging conditions are euphemisms for the reality at individual patient levels. It is impressive to see and hear this, it being the implicit content of what newspapers try to tell us about Yemen today. Principelle products have been in Yemen since 2013 and we sincerely hope to work with Dr. Ismail for a long time to come! Trust the Swedes to organise and host a perfect conference! Together with their Danish neighbours (CAP Partner) who are entrusted with this annual event, the Scandinavian edition was pleasant and smooth. The conference was in a near perfect location at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre, Svenska Mässan in Gothenburg. The fair weather and relaxed atmosphere kept everyone in good spirits. A much appreciated context and conducive for scientific and business exchanges alike. With the buzz word “positioning” in mind, Principelle found a great spot for their conference booth with open space to the sides and front, right in between colleagues 3M and Mölnlycke. We already look forward to meeting colleagues and friends again in London for the 2020 edition of the European Wound Management Association meeting.
